Two Superstar Employees Added to the LearnKey Roster
I would like to welcome Kelly Martinez and Shawn Allen to the LearnKey team. Specifically, they are part of the Veteran Services team and get to interact with veterans everyday. I asked Kelly and Shawn a couple of questions so that we could get to know them better:
Quick Facts About Kelly Martinez
- What is your professional and military background? Active Army from 5/17/2007 to 12/5/2013 stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington state. I was a Wheel Vehicle Mechanic and Maintenance shop foreman/supervisor. I worked mainly on Diesel equipment as well as rocket launchers and field artillery equipment. I was medically discharged and retired as a SGT.
- After two weeks on the job what do you like most about it? My favorite part about this job is working with Veterans. I can relate to them on a personal level.
- What is your favorite type of food? My favorite type of food is Mexican food.
- If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be? If I could go anywhere in the world, I would want to go to Italy to sight see and stuff myself with food.
- What is your favorite band? I love listening to Rock.

- What is your professional and military background? Aircraft mechanic for 12 years in the Navy.
- After two weeks on the job what do you like most about it? I really like the family atmosphere.
- What is your favorite type of food? Hawaiian and fruits.
- If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be? That would be where ever my family is happy.
- What is your favorite band? Old school R&B.

Access 2013
What’s new in Access 2013? You will be introduced to the new web apps feature. Access 2013 gives you the ability to design your own apps or use a template to create an app that can be shared with your coworkers or friends. LearnKey expert jason Manibog will take you step-by-step through this course; starting with database management and navigation. Users will learn to use the tools provided in Access 2013 to design and maintain a basic database.

Flash CS6 Student Workbook
The Flash CS6 Workbook is arranged in the exact order as our Flash CS6 course. The student workbook includes activities like fill-in-the-blanks and projects. The workbook is included with all education license purchases of our Flash CS6 course.

Learning Photoshop CS6
Last month I was presented with what seemed like a daunting task. I was asked to learn Photoshop CS6 and take the ACA certification exam, so I could assist with Photoshop CS6 training for teachers in New York. I had never used Photoshop before so I was really nervous about having to learn this new skill and then assist in training others in this program. I am not ACA certified yet, but I have learned first hand how valuable our training is when learning Photoshop CS6.
As I prepare to take the ACA exam to become Photoshop CS6 Certified I want to share six things I have learned that will help anyone who is using LearnKey training to prepare for certification exams.
Employee Appreciation Day
Even though this post is a little late, I wanted give everyone a peek into our Employee Appreciation Day festivities. I want to start off by thanking everyone at LearnKey for all that they do, to create fantastic training and experience for our customers. We couldn’t do it without you, so once again THANK YOU! Due to our busy production and work schedules each office celebrated on different days. Technically that would mean that we celebrated Employee Appreciation Month right?
Each office celebrated in their own way by providing lunch for their employees, along with other activities.
In the corporate office located in St. George, Utah they treated their “ROCK STAR” employees to deli sandwiches served with fruit, veggies, chips, and cookies. Each employee wore their rock concert T-shirts, and throughout the day employees had the opportunity to answer questions about LearnKey and Rock music with the opportunity to win $10.00 gift certificates to local lunch spots.
The production office in Cedar City, Utah celebrated with BBQ pulled pork sandwiches with mac and cheese. During lunch employees participated in LearnKey Quote Book Jeopardy and employee based crossword and word search puzzles. Winners of these activities received certificates for double scoop ice cream cones and cash. Cedar employees enjoyed having a break and spending time bonding over the LearnKey quote book sayings.
In behalf of all LearnKey employees I want to thank the management team for showing their appreciation and recognizing all of the top notch employees that work at LearnKey. I know that everyone appreciates not only the free lunch, but everything that you do for each of us.

LearnKey provides Know Your Talents course to Middle School students and staff
You know those times when you are a part of something good and it makes you feel proud to be a part of it? Today is one of those days. We see it as our responsibility to do something about the problem.

Atlanta, New Orleans, Indianapolis, and…St. George, Utah? You may be wondering what St. George could possibly have in common to be included in a list with these large cities. Well, before the end of the year LearnKey will be in each of these cities attending trade shows and sharing our training with local teachers and administrators.

Course Release Celebration
What a crazy year it has been. Remeber back in May when I told everyone to be excited for the end of Summer? Well there is no place where that statement was more true than here at LearnKey. Don’t get me wrong we love the great summer weather here is Southern Utah, but over the past few months the LearnKey team has been busy creating and releasing our latest A+, Network+, and IC³ courses.
